There are many ways we can work together to preserve your family stories. We can work from recordings or written material that you provide, or we can conduct interviews to gather the information. The resulting story can be in the form of an audio CD, a transcript, or a smoothly flowing narrative in the teller’s own voice. The most important thing is to get the stories recorded as soon as possible. After that, we can take the final product in whatever direction you choose. Here are a few options.
We come to your home for a series of casual but focused interviews. Using high-quality digital recording equipment, we produce a set of compact disks, indexed to make it easy to find particular sections.
After interviewing you, we produce an unedited word-for-word transcript. This preserves important memories while saving the cost of intensive editing and organizing.
Working from the transcript, we create a smoothly flowing, easy-to-read narrative. Events are organized into chapters; photos and other memorabilia illustrate the text. The story is written in the first person, and great care is taken to preserve your voice and expressions. The book is beautifully bound, a true heirloom to be passed on for generations.

Life Story Editing and Completion
Sometimes people get started writing their own stories, but for any number reasons, are unable to finish them. We can help you complete your story with editing, photo scanning, design and publishing assistance.
Diary Transcription and Editing
If you’ve inherited the diaries of an older relative, or if you have a collection of your own diaries, you’re in possession of a real treasure. As a safeguard and wonderful gift for other family members, you may want to reproduce these chronicles. We can help by transcribing the diaries word-for-word, or by editing them into a shorter, more readable series of representative diary entries.
